Nakshatra Details
Bharani means the one who fills. In Atharvaveda, the number of stars in Bharani nakshatra is mentioned as three - Tisro Bharanyah. Actually, it is a group of three dim stars forming a triangle in the north-east of Ashwini nakshatra in Aries, whose western name is Maska, that is, fly. The scientific numbers of these stars in Aries are 41, 39 and 35, in which the star numbered 41 is the yoga star of these nakshatras. If seen in the middle of the sky at around 9-10 o'clock in the night in the month of December, Ashwini, Bharani, Krittika and Rohini will be seen situated from west to east respectively in a semicircle.

Gooseberry
Dhatri Amla It is called Phyllanthus emblica in scientific language. It likes dry and slightly warm climate, but cannot bear frost. Its flowers come in summer and its fruits are ready by winter. Amla fruit is the richest source of vitamin-C (720 mg per 100 grams). Its juice contains 20 times more vitamin-C than orange. Other chemicals present in amla protect the vitamins present in it from getting spoiled and when it goes into the stomach, it gets assimilated in the body quickly. There is no significant loss of this vitamin by keeping amla in salt solution or in powder form.

Mythological Significance
According to mythological belief, this tree is very dear to Lord Vishnu. According to Skanda Purana, ghosts, spirits and demons do not go to the house where Amla is kept. According to Padma Purana, demons and devils do not go to the house where Amla is always present. Remembering, seeing and worshipping this tree is auspicious. Eating food under the shade of this tree in Kartik destroys the sins caused by contact with food for a year. Kartik Shukla Navami is called Dhatri Navami. On this day Dhatri (Amla) is worshipped as Lord Vishnu.
