📖 What is Kshaya Maas?
Kshaya Maas (क्षय मास) is a rare phenomenon in the Hindu lunar calendar where a lunar month is completely omitted. This occurs due to exceptional astronomical alignment between the Sun and the Moon.
Kshaya Maas is traditionally considered inauspicious for material activities. Special expiatory rituals (Prāyaścitta) and spiritual observances are recommended according to Dharmaśāstra traditions.
